NOTED KOREAN MISSION WORKER VISITS SCHOOL.
Inspects Various Departments and Praises Leaders on Work being Done—Goes to Auburn Next.
Tuskegee, March 23 —(Special)—
Prince T. H. Yun, a noted Korean missionary worker and President of the Anglo-Korean College at Songdo, Korea, reached Tuskegee Institute yesterday and was received by Dr. Booker T. Washington. Prince Yun was accompanied by Rev. W. G. Cram, of Williamstown, Ky., who is in charge of the Korean mission of the M. E. Church, South at Songdo, Korea, and J. T. Magnum, of the Ashville Conference of the Young People’s Missionary Movement.
Dr. John Massey, of Tuskegee, former President of the Alabama Methodist Episcopal Conference and Rev. Dr. Chappelle, pastor of the Tuskegee Methodist Episcopal Church, South, joined the party at Tuskegee.
Carriages were furnished and Prince Yun and party were driven to Huntington Memorial building. Dorothy Hall and Slater-Armstrong Memorial building, where they found the students at work in the various trades and industries.
Later the party was driven through the campus to the farms and returned in time to see 1,600 pupils march into the mammoth dining room of Tompkins Hall and seat themselves for supper.
At 8:30 o’clock last night Prince Yun and party visited the auditiorium of Tompkins Hall, where nearly 2,000 teachers and students were assembled to hear a lecture by Prof. C. H. Albert of the State Normal School, Bloomsburg, PA.
After the lecture Prof. Warren Logan, assistant principal, introduced Dr. Massey as dean of the party. Dr. Massey delivered a short address. He in turn, introduced Prince Yun to the enthusiastic audience.
Rev W. G. Cram followed with an interesting address and Dr. Chappelle pronounced the benediction.
Prince Yun and party expressed themselves as highly pleased with the work of Tuskegee Institute. They left Tuskegee on the morning train to visit the Alabama Polytechnic at Auburn.
